Work is a societal norm that is expected from all of us as individuals but it doesn’t have to be restraining or overpowering other parts of your life, in-fact it should financially and emotionally co exist for a better well being. Coming home from a job that has been stressful and neglect the people or things that keep your spirits soaring, doesn’t feel right. To ensure that there is no crossover of your work and the strain that comes along with it here are 3 mantras to help you achieve a healthier work life balance:

  • THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT BALANCE

Striving for perfection is realistic but is it necessary to strive for a perfect schedule? Some days you might just feel the need to focus on getting your office work done and some days you might just want to pamper your family, get some chores done! Allow yourself to open up for redirection, assess your priorities if getting things done and schedule if necessary accordingly.

  • HEALTH ALWAYS COMES FIRST

Your overall health including your mental health should be your main concern, if you think that you are starting to struggle with certain parts of life it is always suggested to seek professional help who are equipped to help you with all the areas of life be it handling your professional or personal life concerns, certified help is not far away when you are a member of ACHNET, you can schedule sessions according to your convenience and tackle your struggles one milestone at a time without having to worry about geographical boundaries.

  • FOMO IS NOT REAL

FOMO (Fear of missing out) is something that we all are affected with, it is PERFECTLY OKAY if you decide to unplug and cut ties with the outside world of your office, friends etc out. Cutting ties and being offline from your routine fcan help overcome weekly stress and help you equip better for the tasks that lies in the week ahead, sometimes unplugging means taking a vacation and shutting your work completely down for a while. Your getaway doesn’t have to even be for a longer duration, a 15 minute walk, listening to your favorite music also might just do the trick to reboot.
